Splurge With No Regrets

Did you know that nearly 75% of women, and sometimes men, behave abnormally around food and can’t splurge with no regrets?  In today’s society, we have so many hang-ups about food and we categorize it as good or bad. There is no doubt, it is essential to be aware of what you are putting into your body on a daily basis in order to stay fit.  But it is also important, just like anything else, to have a balanced relationship with the food in your life.

Personally, I live to eat.  Food makes me happy.  I love to cook and create delicious healthy dishes for myself, friends and family as I have talked about here.  But, just like diets don’t work because they aren’t a lifestyle commitment, constantly restricting yourself and not enjoying the foods that you love, like a bowl of ice cream, doesn’t work either.  The point is, like always, balance in life is key. Sticking to healthy meals 6 days a week and getting a workout in is a good thing, but give yourself 1 day a week to splurge with no regrets because you deserve it. Enjoy a piece of cake, a brownie sundae or a big fat hamburger, savor it and eat happily. Splurge with no regrets!!
