How to make the best guacamole; mango salsa

I’m obsessed with avocados!  I always make sure I’ve got a couple of ripe ones on hand. Avocados are one the healthiest whole foods you can eat, so my husband and I eat them almost everyday.  Learn more about the health benefits of avocados here. Tomatoes are a superfood and are also an absolute on my grocery list each week.  So with all of that being said, guacamole and salsa are on the menu at our house often; which prompted me to share how to make the best guacamole and mango salsa with you.

What you’ll need for the best guacamole:

1 ripe avocado (soft but not too soft) removed from skin & chopped

2 tablespoons of finely chopped red onion

1/4 cup chopped red pepper

1 tablespoon chopped cilantro

Sprinkle of sea salt

Lime wedge; 1 teaspoon squeezed

Optional: tiny bit of garlic grated through microplane

Mix all ingredients together and serve immediately.

 

What you’ll need for the best mango salsa:

1/2 ripe mango chopped

5 Campari tomatoes; diced

2 tablespoons of finely chopped red onion

1 tablespoon chopped cilantro

Sprinkle of sea salt

Lime wedge; 1 teaspoon squeezed
