Green Your Yoga Practice; Why It Is Important To Use A Toxic Chemical Free Yoga Mat

I love practicing yoga, it truly has sculpted and strengthened my body in ways that I never thought possible.  There are many different types of yoga, but I always make sure that I have a green yoga practice.

Green Yoga

Hatha Yoga is a slow-paced, gentle practice and is great for beginners.

Vinyasa Yoga, which means breathe synchronized movement.  This type of yoga is a bit more vigorous where the movement is matched to the breath and follows up with an intense stretch at the end.

Ashtanga (or sometimes Power Yoga) means “eight limbs” in Sanskrit and is a fast-paced, and is also an intense type of yoga. A number of poses are conducted and always in the same order. It is very physically challenging because you are constantly moving from one pose to another which in yoga speak is called flow.  Ashtanga inspired Power Yoga and is based on the same style. As mentioned here, Yogalosophy is one of my favorite hybrid practices.  I do this challenging Mandy Ingber workout a couple times per week and it packs a punch.  As she says, “You will sculpt sleek muscles and unwind your mind”.

Beautiful and Eco Friendly At The Same Time

Iyengar Yoga was created by yogi, B.K.S Iyengar.  This practice focuses on bodily alignment and the precise way you should position your body to get the most from each pose without injury.  The idea is to hold the position for longer periods of time and use yoga props such as blocks and straps to ensure the body is aligned in each pose in order to obtain the maximum benefits and avoid injury.

Kundalini yoga is focused on the breath in conjunction with each move as you release energy from the lower part of the body upwards.  The control of your breath is essential to the postures.

Bikram Yoga was created by Bikram Choudhury and is referred to as Hot Yoga because it is practiced in a 95 to 100 degree room.  This hot temperature allows the muscles to loosen and promotes intense sweating which is considered to be cleansing.

Eco Yoga Block

Viniyoga Yoga is a personalized practice when an experienced teacher works individually with each member of the class and creates a particular program while taking into account the age, health and physical fitness of the student.

Eco-Smart Yoga is everything you need to green your yoga practice, here’s why it’s important to use a toxic chemical free yoga mat here.  The Eco-Smart Yoga Mat provides a lightweight eco-friendly surface. Our Cork Yoga Block provides support for postures that are otherwise too strong or unattainable.  The hemp slingstrap is both a mat sling and a strap used to enhance poses and alignment.  Last, but not least, the reusable aluminum bottle saves plastic water bottles from landfills. Not only will your yoga practice be better, but in addition, you will be able to breath clean, non-toxic air with these very special yoga mats and props.

Namaste.
