I am all about finding the most time efficient and effective workouts, like I talked about here, because let’s face it, we all want to look amazing, but don’t have a lot of time to do so.  It doesn’t seem like much, but these 3 easy moves that burn an extra 100 calories a day can also help you lose 10 pounds a year.  Sounds pretty good huh?  There are so many things that you can do each day to burn off some extra calories, but these 3 stood out to me so I wanted to share them with you.

1. Dance!!  Did you know that if you dance around your house for 20 minutes, you will burn 100 calories?  Turn on your favorite play list, put on your IPod and go for it.  If you are going to spend 1/2 a day cleaning your house, you might as well make it fun, right? Dancing is a really fun way to burn calories without even knowing it and the crazier you dance, the more you will burn.  Or get crazy and even go for 40 minutes and burn 200 calories.

2. Play!!  Did you know that spending just 16 minutes outside in the yard with your kids playing simple games like hopscotch or T-Ball will burn 100 calories?  Imagine if you were out there for an hour each day, what a difference it would make in your body over a year.

3. Jump Rope!!  I love this one because you only have to skip rope for 10 minutes to burn 100 calories, talk about time efficiency, plus it’s so easy and so simple.  Jump rope outside or in front of the tv, whatever you like, just do it and start to drop those extra pounds today.
