As we grow older life can become overwhelming on so many levels and will only continue on that course until mindful changes are made. ┬áThe good news is that you have the power to create the life you’ve always dreamed of because everyone has the ability to shake off trouble and start fresh. Here are 5 ways to make your life freaking awesome!

Let go of control.

There are so many things that occur within our life daily that are completely out of our control, yet we still try and control them. Every moment that we spend contemplating people or events that are out of our control, we’re stealing valuable time from our lives. Work on redirecting your energy on things you can have a positive affect on and start to let go of control, you’ll live a more peaceful, fulfilling life.

Learn from others.

Don’t be a know-it-all, because no one knows everything, we all can benefit from learning from others whether it be an older sibling, a teacher or a trusted friend. Knowledge is power and learning from other people’s mistakes or experiences will make your life less painful. So ask questions, take notes and be aware; open-mindedness can expand your world in extraordinary ways.


Set realistic goals.

Be honest with yourself when setting out with something as simple as your daily ‘to do’ list or as big as a lifelong dream. When the mountains are too high to climb in one day, those goals can be too difficult to achieve and can have a negative affect on your spirit. Setting realistic goals and accomplishing them will make you feel confident and proud; therefore allowing yourself to set even bigger goals going forward.

Be patient with yourself.

Staying calm and being patient with yourself and others are true superpowers because of the endless daily, unexpected occurrences that can take place. Setting out each morning with a mindset of calm no matter what might disturb you, will ultimately make everyday better. Slow down, stay calm and savor the best things in life. Breathe. Be thoughtful. Be mindful.

Be courageous.

Too often we choose to shun away from conflict, pain and danger because it can be difficult to face; which ultimately can make us feel worse. Instead, consider digging down deep and finding the courage to face what needs to be addressed; you’ll feel much better in the end. Think of courage like exercise, the more you do it, the easier it becomes and the more benefits that are experienced.
