10 best healthy snacks to get and stay fit for life

Talking to women about their bodies is something that I do on a daily basis. How they feel about how they look is the topic of conversation and almost always they are looking for ways to get and stay fit for life. What we eat plays the most crucial role in how our bodies look, so always having healthy snacks available to us is essential to staying consistent with food.

Whether you pack up a couple of these to take with you each day or have at your fingertips in the refrigerator, it’s also important to plan ahead so that you don’t end up getting too hungry and making poor choices. Here are 10 of my favorite healthy snacks, and yes some of them are a bit of a tasty splurge because deprivation is never a good idea for any of us:)

1 cup of steamed edamame (in pod).

An apple and one tablespoon of nut butter.

1/2 cup of sunflower seeds (in shell).

1/4 cup of your favorite nuts (about a palmful).

Greek yogurt (6oz) with 1/2 cup of berries.

Favorite veggies with 1/4 cup of hummus.

2 rice cakes with a tablespoon of nut butter.

4 cups of a light popcorn.

A small frozen yogurt.

A skim latte with a banana.
