The best way to do this is to write your list according to the store layout so that you’re not running back and forth.

Since the majority of your list should consist of produce, and this area is usually the first section of the store, write down all of your needs from this area on the top of your list and work your way from there. Keep in mind that the outer sections of the store is where the majority of fresh foods reside while the center aisles contain mostly processed foods that you should be staying away from.

Your preparation

Now that you know what you’re going to eat and you’ve collected all of your ingredients, finding the time each day to put it all together can pose the biggest challenge of all. The easiest way to combat this is to pick a day to put aside a couple hours for your weekly meal prep.
